How is my pay calculated on a casual contract?
Answer
There are two methods of payment that can be applied to casual (engagement) contracts -
a) The total payment due for the duration of the contract is calculated, and payments are then made on a pro-rata basis for each month of the contract (known as being paid in equal instalments.)
b) Timesheets are submitted to your Department, who then provide the relevant detail to Payroll to allow payment to be made for the hours worked (known as being paid on receipt of timesheet.)
