What happens to remaining annual leave if I leave the University?

Answer

Employees leaving the University are expected to take any outstanding leave entitlement during their notice period.

Where this is not possible due to the contrainsts of the service, they may recieve payment for any outstanding leave dates from their entitlement up to the leave date. This needs to be agreed in advance with the Head of Department with reasons as to why leave cannot be taken.

Any annual leave taken above the employee's entitlement will be recouped from their final salary.
