What leave am I entitled to following serious illness within the family?
Answer
At the onset of serious illness of child, partner, parent or other dependent where a member of staff is required to provide care or be at the bedside, up to three days leave with pay (pro rata for part-time employees) may normally be approved. In exceptional cases this may be extended to a maximum of six days.
