What happens to my accrued annual leave, bank holidays and university closure days whilst I am on maternity leave?
Answer
During the ordinary maternity and birthing parent leave period (and the additional leave period), annual leave will accrue as normal. Additional leave relating to Bank holidays and University closure days, which occur during the maternity and birthing parent leave period, will also accrue.
Subject to the usual approval arrangements, you may take leave accrued at the time immediately before or after maternity and birthing parent leave.

Annual leave will accrue as normal during periods of Shared Parental Leave.
